WHAT OUR CLIENTS SAY

OK, this pizza is REALLY good! I picked up an extra large pizza for lunch that easily fed five grown men. My friend suggested getting the extra thin crust, which was equivalent to a regular thin crust pizza at any other pizza place. The service was quick and friendly. Great spot to pick up a meal if you are using the Hammond Marina. I am looking forward to having this pizza again.

Just had a half sausage and pep. I’ve had pizza from almost every place in a 15 mile radius. This is one of my go tos. Crust is light but crunchy, sauce is great and they use a good amount of cheese but not too much. I’m sure y’all already know this pizza is fire tho.

I’m from Chicago and one thing chicagoans take pride in is their pizza. I heard about this place from some coworkers and decided to try it. After trying it out I picked up the phone and called a buddy back in the city to tell him I found a spot out here that easily tops the pizza from back home. The crust is great, the toppings are fresh and tasty and their sauce is sooo good. I love this place. Plus the price is very very reasonable.

Every year for my birthday I have pizza in my pajamas. This year, we are new to Whiting. I am a stuffed pizza snob. This stuffed pizza was amazing! We got Capri special as a large stuffed crust. I highly recommend this pizza if you like a good, non-greasy stuffed crust.

Sandesh Jhingan: The Rock of Indian Football and Defensive Stalwart
In the modern era of Indian football, few names command as much respect, admiration, and authority on the pitch as Sandesh Jhingan. Known for his uncompromising defensive grit, vocal leadership, and passionate displays for both club and country, Jhingan has carved out a legacy as one of India's finest-ever central defenders. From humble beginnings to becoming the heartbeat of the national team's backline, his journey is a testament to resilience, hard work, and an unyielding passion for the beautiful game.
Early Life and Professional Breakthrough
Born on July 21, 1993, in Chandigarh, India, Jhingan displayed a natural affinity for football from a young age. Growing up, he navigated the challenges of a developing football ecosystem in India, honing his skills through state-level youth competitions like the B.C. Roy Trophy. His breakthrough came in 2014 during the inaugural Indian Super League (ISL) domestic draft, where he was snapped up by Kerala Blasters.
That maiden 2014 season proved to be a turning point. Jhingan's commanding aerial ability, fearless tackling, and maturity beyond his years helped guide Kerala Blasters to the final. Though they narrowly missed out on the trophy, his stellar performances earned him the prestigious ISL Emerging Player of the League award. Overnight, the young center-back became a fan favorite and a household name across the country.
Rising Through the Ranks and National Glory
Jhingan’s club success naturally translated to international recognition. After representing India at the youth levels, he made his senior international debut in 2015. Since then, he has been an indispensable pillar of the Blue Tigers' defense, anchoring the backline through multiple editions of the AFC Asian Cup and various international tournaments.
Characterized by his rugged style of play, tactical intelligence, and immense threat from set-pieces, Jhingan eventually grew into the leadership group and captained the national team. His commitment to the national shirt is legendary; he has often played through pain and injuries for the sake of his country, earning the ultimate respect of fans and coaches alike.
In recognition of his stellar contributions to Indian sports, Jhingan was honored with the prestigious Arjuna Award in 2020—the second-highest sporting honor in India. He has also clinched the AIFF Men's Player of the Year award, cementing his status among the pantheon of Indian football greats.
Club Journey and Leadership at FC Goa
Over the years, Jhingan’s club career has seen him feature for some of the biggest outfits in the country, including ATK Mohun Bagan and Bengaluru FC, alongside a brief stint abroad in Europe with Croatian club HNK Šibenik.
Demonstrating his enduring quality and value as a leader, Jhingan joined FC Goa, where he quickly established himself as the defensive anchor and an influential voice in the dressing room. His decision to extend his stay with the club highlights his dedication to maintaining high competitive standards. Under his leadership, FC Goa continues to compete at the highest echelons of domestic football and represent India on the continental stage in Asian competitions.
